Yunet Soto Walker joined Law Patriot, after serving as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County, FL, for over three years. As an Assistant Public Defender, Mrs. Walker quickly rose through the ranks of the Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office and was promoted to Felony Public Defender in the Circuit Court within one year of being hired. Mrs. Walker has litigated complex felony and misdemeanor cases and has extensive experience in trying both jury and non-jury trials. Mrs. Walker’s trial work has resulted in over 90% success rate earning most of her clients’ acquittals. Through her time at the Public Defender’s Office, she quickly earned the reputation as an aggressive trial attorney and won the Hat Trick Award for getting three not guilty jury verdicts in less than 8 days.

Mrs. Walker received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University (“FIU”) in 2013. She then went on to obtain a law degree from FIU Law. At FIU Law, she was a member of the Women’s Law Society, the Immigration Clinic, and the Moot Court Team. Mrs. Walker began to develop her litigation skills while in law school through representing clients in immigration and federal court. She also participated in a trial advocacy class where she obtained the skills to become a successful trial attorney. While in law school, Mrs. Walker also competed in several moot court competitions earning her the 2017-2018 “Outstanding Advocate Award.” An award given to the member of the moot court team in recognition of their outstanding performance and winning records.

Mrs. Walker’s parents are Cuban Americans who emigrated to the United States at a young age. Mrs. Walker was raised in South Florida and is fluent in Spanish. During her free time, she enjoys working out and spending time with her husband and small child.
